Great post Tobi.

I think one fear factor is senior management not understanding volunteering and the contribution volunteer can make to fulfilling an organisation's mission. Rather than admit their ignorance they'd often rather keep doing the things they feel comfortable with, for example trying to get more money from donors at a time when people have less money (but more time) to give.

Thanks again for the post.


I was just about to establish a virtual volunteering program. Your information seems to be much of use, since there were lots of aspects i haven't known.
